Yes, we take precautions to protect your landscaping during cleaning and use eco-friendly solutions whenever possible.

Will external cleaning damage my paving or pointing?

Accepted Answer

No — we assess every surface first and choose the safest method. For delicate or older paving, we avoid high pressure and use the Westermann Moss Brush or low‑pressure cleaning to protect joints and pointing.

Do I need to move furniture, pots or ornaments before you arrive?

If you can move small items, great — but we’re happy to help shift heavier pieces when we arrive. We always work around your space safely and respectfully.

Most surfaces stay clean for 9–12 months. Shaded or damp areas may need more frequent maintenance. We can also apply optional treatments to slow down algae and moss regrowth which will help it last even longer!

What’s the difference between pressure washing and the Westermann Moss Brush?

Accepted Answer

Pressure washing uses water to blast away dirt and algae. The Westermann Moss Brush uses a rotary brush to lift moss and debris without water or chemicals. It’s ideal for block paving, textured surfaces and areas where pressure washing could cause damage like tarmac for example.

No — the opposite. Removing algae and moss makes paths and patios safer. Once dry, the surface will have more grip and be less hazardous.

How long does the area take to dry after cleaning?

Most patios and driveways dry within 1–3 hours depending on weather. You can walk on them straight away, but we recommend waiting until fully dry before placing furniture back.

Do you clean in winter or only in summer?

We clean all year round. In fact, winter and early spring are ideal for removing algae and moss before the warmer months.
